Grade A Teak
Teak is the benchmark for outdoor furniture because its natural oils protect the wood from rain, sun and insects. Oakline uses Grade A heartwood teak from FSC-certified plantations for the Coastal Teak Series, including lounge chairs, dining sets and sun loungers.
Grade A teak has a tight, even grain and a golden honey color with almost no sapwood. We kiln-dry the timber to 10-12% moisture and use stainless steel 304 fasteners throughout, so joints stay strong in salty coastal air. Left untreated, teak weathers to a silver-gray patina; a teak sealer keeps the original tone.
