Industry Insights

Most of our export orders ship under one of two Incoterms: FOB Shenzhen or CIF to the destination port. Both are common in furniture trade, but they split cost and risk differently.

FOB Shenzhen

We deliver the goods loaded on board at Shenzhen port and handle export clearance. The buyer books ocean freight and insurance, which suits importers with their own forwarder or consolidated shipments from several suppliers.

CIF

We arrange ocean freight and cargo insurance to your named port. This is convenient for first-time importers or project buyers who want one supplier to manage the booking.

  • A 40HQ container typically holds 180 to 260 upholstered chairs or 60 to 90 sofas, depending on packaging
  • Flat-pack casegoods can reduce container volume by up to 40 percent

Whichever term you choose, payment remains 30 percent deposit and 70 percent against the bill of lading copy. Our logistics team can quote both options for comparison.
