This video takes you inside our in-house testing room, where office chairs go through the same cycle tests used for BIFMA X5.1 compliance. Our lab runs eight test rigs that operate around the clock during new product development.
You will see the seat impact test, the backrest durability test at 120,000 cycles, the swivel test and the caster durability test. Each rig is calibrated every 12 months, and results are recorded against the design drawing so any change in materials triggers a retest.
In-house testing lets us catch weak points before samples ship, which keeps final third-party reports on schedule. Chairs that pass internal testing are then sent to an accredited laboratory for the official report.
