Timber Yard and Kiln Drying Tour

Stable furniture starts with stable timber. This video takes you through our timber yard and kiln drying area, where incoming oak, ash and teak boards are graded, stickered and dried before they reach the cutting hall.

Our six kilns bring moisture content down to 8–12 percent, matched to the climate of the destination market. Every batch is logged with a moisture meter reading and an FSC chain of custody reference, so certified orders stay traceable from supplier to finished piece.

Proper drying is a key reason we can offer a 5-year warranty on structural parts. Lumber that leaves the kiln too wet can warp or crack months after delivery, especially in air-conditioned hotel rooms. Watch the video to see how we sample, test and release each kiln load, then contact us to discuss timber specifications for your next project.
