Sofa Upholstery Workshop in Action

Our upholstery workshop employs 85 skilled workers who build the frames, foam and fabric covers for every Oakline sofa and sectional. This video shows a full cycle for a three-seat sofa, filmed over one shift.

Frames are made from kiln-dried hardwood and E1 plywood, joined with dowels, glue and corner blocks. Workers then fit sinuous springs, high-resilience foam with a density of 35 kg/m³ and a fiber wrap before the cover is cut on an automatic fabric cutter and sewn by hand. Each finished sofa is sat-tested and checked for seam straightness, pattern alignment and cushion fill.

Hotel and wholesale buyers often ask how custom fabrics are handled. You can supply your own COM fabric or choose from 120 stocked performance fabrics, and the video shows how both enter the same workflow. Request a quote to plan your next upholstery order.
